Alternative Provision

We are a team of experienced educators, with a wide range of knowledge and expertise within both mainstream and specialist support. We have a great passion and understanding for pupils in need of something different in order to sucessfully access and complete their learning. We work with pupils at risk of exclusion, or simply in need of a different approach.

Values

Our setting is steeped in values built around individuality and simplicity.

We work flexibly to allow pupils to gain valuable life skills and qualifications, in a manner that suits their needs and enables them to express their aspirations and interests.

We truly believe that every child can thrive.

Mission

Our mission is to be recognised as an outstanding provision for pupils who may need additional support.

We aim to provide the community with support, including preparing pupils for employment and further education through life skills such as independence and resilience.

Our support structure for schools will also have a lasting positive impact on pupils and the wider community.

Functional Skills

Pupils will follow an engaging, immersive curriculum that is carefully tailored to their chosen pathways. This personalised approach supports each learner’s individual interests, strengths, and future aspirations, while ensuring they work towards and achieve relevant, nationally recognised qualifications, including Maths and English Functional Skills.

Each pathway is thoughtfully adapted to provide a balanced combination of academic learning, practical training, and the development of essential life skills. This holistic approach helps prepare pupils for a positive and independent adult life—whether their next steps involve further education, entering the workforce, or supported living arrangements.

In addition, we are committed to supporting the successful reintegration of pupils into mainstream education where appropriate. By building their academic foundation, confidence, and social-emotional skills, we aim to ensure they are fully prepared to thrive in a wider, more traditional school environment.

Life Skills

We are committed to preparing young people not just for academic success, but for life beyond the classroom. Education should empower pupils with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in the real world.

To support this, we offer additional lessons focused on practical life skills. These cover key areas such as managing money, looking after health and wellbeing, building positive relationships, and solving everyday problems.

Through this meaningful, real-world learning, we aim to help pupils grow into confident, capable individuals—ready to take on the challenges of adult life with independence and resilience.

Vocational Skills

We provide a variety of vocational training opportunities for school pupils, aimed at developing practical skills and real-world experience. These programmes offer a valuable alternative or complement to classroom-based learning and support pupils in identifying their strengths and interests.

Vocational training focuses on hands-on learning and helps pupils build confidence, responsibility, and a strong work ethic. Lessons are designed to reflect real-life scenarios, encouraging problem-solving and teamwork.

These opportunities prepare pupils for the next stage of their journey, whether that’s further education, training, or employment. Our goal is to support confident, capable pupils ready to move towards positive and independent futures.
